Description
The talk presents the holistic aspects of being human, unifying the functions of the mind and body, specifically connecting our experience of eating. It also explores what it means to be in the present moment, the natural distractions that prevent this connection, and the way our brain, cognitive system, emotions, and body continually operate when we eat. It covers general concepts for a better understanding of "mindful eating," as well as the types of hunger that accompany us, anxiety and depression, and environmental and sociocultural factors that structure our experience. It provides a space for personal reflection and tools for implementing a more fulfilling life, one that is more aware of how we function as human beings.
