Biography:
Joaquín Yglesias is one of the most influential voices in Costa Rica.
From a very young age, he has participated in countless concerts, operas, cantatas, oratorios, zarzuelas, recordings, collaborations and videos as a soloist around the world.
But the musical trend that he is truly passionate about. The "Classical Crossover"
His record productions completely mix various popular genres with lyric singing.
In 2014 he made the recording of his first album "Tierra" which was a sales success and which includes the song "Ave María" by Franz Shubert that becomes an anthem for the most important television station in Costa Rica and is played on many other media internationally.
For 2015 he made his second record production "Pasión". An album that brings together the most iconic songs of traditional Costa Rican music.
"The Tenors". A group of 4 renowned singers in Costa Rica is formed and becomes a side project of Joaquín. This project has been a resounding success. The Tenors have performed a large number of massive concerts, together with renowned artists such as Armando Manzanero and Francisco Céspedes, as well as recordings, symphonic projects and packed theaters.
In 2018 the tenor released “Joaquín Yglesias” his third studio album with a much more current and even more fused approach where it includes iconic themes of popular and lyrical music worldwide. The album features world-class artists such as Greg Bissonette (Van Halen's drummer), Richard Bravo (Ricky Martin's drummer) among others, and it is mastered in London by John Young from Metropolis, which achieves a completely international sound.
For December 2018, Joaquin Yglesias finally launches his fourth and most anticipated studio album, “Tiempo de Navidad” and “Chistmas time”, a production carried out between Costa Rica and Nashville where the best known of Christmas in the world is compiled and given a new contribution to the Classical Crossover genre.
Joaquín is named “Country Brand Ambassador” by the Esencial Costa Rica seal. Being the first male solo singer to receive this merit along with his entire discography.

Joaquín Yglesias has performed countless fully-booked concerts at the prestigious National Theater of Costa Rica, being one of the very few national artists to do so.
In 2020 he begins the year with a concert with the Sinaloa Symphony Orchestra in Los Cabos Mexico and is dedicated to the production of his fifth album and first whose songs are all his own.
From this latest production comes the first single "Envuélveme en tus besos".
The song tops the most popular radio list in Costa Rica, on station 94.7.
The album is planned for release in 2021.
