• Biologist and graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the Central University of the Caribbean in Bayamón, Puerto Rico
• He completed his postgraduate medical training with a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Puerto Rico. University District Hospital
• Continued on a research fellowship at the University of Texas Anderson Hospital
• Conducted research studies at the University of Texas Anderson Hospital
• Completed a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and completed a sub-specialty fellowship in Infectious Transplant Diseases with the University of Miami at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
• He is currently part of the Cleveland Clinic Florida team as an infectious disease physician.
